We will represent you either at an Oral Hearing or by producing a required written submission to the Expert or Arbitrator setting out our argument clearly and effectively.

On occasion it is not possible to reach a negotiated settlement in such ciromstances there are a number of options open to you depending on the type of dispute. Mediation, Independent Expert or Arbitration. We can advise you on which system to use and guide you through the process.

Rates Appeals

Business rates are a significant expense for any business and for a property owner if the building is empty. We advise our clients on their liability and whether an appeal should be made. If an appeal is appropriate then we can submit this for you. We will sort out all the necessary casework and representation in the unlikely event that the case is referred to the Tribunal.

Don’t forget that the ratable value can go up as well as down in the appeal process soit is important to assess rates liability before you submit an appeal!
